The Tallis Scholars
Tallis Scholars make a welcome return with a programme built around composers who had a close association with Rome's Sistine Chapel. The concert opens with the famous 40 part motet by Thomas Tallis' Spem in alium performed by Tallis Scholars & 30 singers specially recruited from around Ireland.

Glenn Miller Orchestra
Ray McVay directs the UK’s greatest big band in a nostalgic concert of fabulous forties music and classic wartime chart toppers, including a special 100th birthday tribute to Dame Vera Lynn. The Orchestra will also perform the second half of the concert in the World War II uniforms of the US Army Air Force.

Defence Forces Annual Gala Concert
Combined military bands, pipes and drums and special guest soprano Sandra Oman join forces for an evening of military favourites & popular arias. This is the highlight of the year for all band enthusiasts! The proceeds of this concert are donated to the Defence Forces Benevolent Fund and Soldiers Aid Fund.

Martin Hayes Quartet

Arguably Ireland’s leading traditional musician, Martin Hayes commences his NCH residency on Saturday 28th October. In this first concert, Hayes’ eloquence finds natural partners in the members of his newest collaborative venture, the Martin Hayes Quartet, drawing on influences from baroque to jazz. The quartet consists of Doug Wieselman on bass clarinet, Liz Knowles on viola & violin and Dennis Cahill on guitar.
In January, Martin joins string quartet Brooklyn Rider for an unforgettable evening of music grounded in the Irish tradition whilst for the final concert in May 2018 he unveils duos with special guests alongside his long-standing musical partner, guitarist Dennis Cahill, in Martin Hayes Duos
