In February, the Czech Philharmonic celebrates the 100th anniversary of Czech independence at the end of the First World War.

A packed three concert weekend is built around the country’s two great national composers, Dvořak who conducted the orchestra’s inaugural performance in 1896 and Smetana, including a rare complete performance of Smetana’s Ma Vlast (My Country) and a special family concert based around Dvořak’s fairy-tale The Golden Spinning Wheel.
