DDT: XX Century, Irish Premiere
DDT: XX Century is a feature-length film by director Sergei Kuznetsov, made clandestinely in Russia between 2022 and 2025.
Blending drama, rare archive footage and animation, the film traces a century of Russian history through four generations of one family, with the songs of DDT — one of Russia’s best-known rock bands — running through the story.
This is not a conventional music documentary. It is a film about memory, history and the way major political events enter ordinary lives, shape individual destinies and leave traces that pass from one generation to the next.
Director Sergei Kuznetsov now lives in exile, and DDT: XX Century can currently be screened only outside Russia.
Irish premiere screening at Light House Cinema, Dublin — 17 November.
