Bagatelle & Friends: Celebrating the Legacy of Liam Reilly

Bagatelle started back in 1978, at a time when original bands were not very successful in Ireland. In fact, the idea of a band touring nationwide with original music just didn’t work .. for most. However, Bagatelle defied all odds, and established themselves firmly on the Irish music circuit… worldwide! For over 40 years they’ve had several #1 singles with iconic songs like ‘Summer in Dublin’, ‘Second Violin’ and ‘Trump Card’. They’ve also had multi-platinum & gold album sales, as well as classic emigration songs like ‘Streets of New York’, ‘Flight of Earls’,  and ‘Boston Rose’, all written by Bagatelle “Hit Man” Liam Reilly.

Bagatelle have shared the stage with legends like Bob Marley, John Denver, The Pogue’s, Duran Duran, Pretenders, Van Morrison, U2, Jose Feliciano, Wishbone Ash, UB40 and George Michael. After a successful ‘final’ tour, they returned from retirement to multiple sold out shows across Ireland, England and America until the COVID-19 pandemic stopped them short. Sadly, singer/songwriter Liam Reilly passed away during the lockdown, but Bagatelle’s music legacy lives on and is now coming to The Lark Concert Hall in Balbriggan.
