Bowden live at Whelan’s
Bowden (Alt-Rock)
Hailing from Cork, Bowden are an alt-rock five-piece whose melodic lyrics, crunching guitars and cinematic textures have marked them as one of Ireland’s most exciting new acts. Since forming in 2022, they’ve earned national airplay on 2FM, glowing reviews from Hot Press, and critical acclaim for their debut album Glacier. With influences ranging from Radiohead and Elliott Smith to Villagers and Fontaines D.C., Bowden explore themes of alienation and human connection in the digital age, delivering songs that are both intimate and explosive. Having lit up stages at Mike The Pies, Fred Zeppelins, and When Next We Meet Festival, Bowden now bring their cinematic, high-energy live show to Dublin for the very first time with their debut at Whelan’s. They are supported on the night by the fast rising indie act, Charcoal Greys and the award winning singer/songwriter Eve Whelan.
