Fundraiser Gig at The Wild Duck!

Come on down to The Wild Duck on March 20th to enjoy a mere snippet of the great local talent Dublin has. There’ll be singer-songwriters, funky bands, witty jokes, the chance to win prizes(!) and even someone offering Tarot Readings. There is also a prize for the most MAGICALLY DRESSED person!

This is a fundraiser event to raise money to make a short film by some local independent film-makers. We’re using art to raise moolah to make more art!

Line-Up includes:

Burlesque dancer The Mo Show, singer-songwriters RVE, Annie Sherry, and Niall Hasset, poets Ceara Carney and Adam Kelly, actor Ashlyn Murphy, Drag Queen MarianMarythe6th, bands The County Champs and New Data Scientists, and tarot reader Hannah, creator of Réaltaí Readings who’ll be offering Tarot Readings on the night (until 9pm!).

-what we’re fundraising for-

We’re making a 15 minute film called Love Potion. It centers on an insecure barista called Carla who makes a love potion for the so-called man of her dreams, but she accidentially drinks the potion, and falls in love with herself instead.

The film is a magical nostalgia trip for Sabrina and Hocus Pocus fans, and a big F U to the beauty industry . You can read more about the project here.

The movie will be shot in Dublin in April 2026 with a crew of 11 and cast of 6 over 4 days. That’s a lot of mouths to feed and fees to pay if at all possible!
