Get on Your Bike for the PedalPower Cycle Parade
The PedalPower Parade is taking place on 11th May at 11am at Eamonn Ceannt Park (Clogher Road entrance) for a colourful 7km community cycle with, four pick up points en route, through Crumlin, Harold’s Cross, and Drimnagh, before looping back to the park.
The theme of the parade is bees and flowers, so make sure to come along wearing your best colourful costume. Whether you’re decked out in daisies or buzzing like a bee, everyone is welcome to join in the fun. Starting at Eamonn Ceannt Park, you can join the parade at any of the four pick up points, Bangor Circle, Mount Argus Park, Harold’s Cross Park and Parnell Road (Fire station) for the final Kiddie Kilometre ending back at Eamonn Ceannt Park.
The parade will be immediately followed by PedalPower Dublin. A FREE cycling festival for all ages and abilities, taking place in Sundrive Velodrome, Eamonn Ceannt Park, Crumlin from 12noon to 4.00pm on Sunday 11th May.
Need a bike to take part in the event?
- Bleeper Bikes have pedal bikes and e-bikes available to hire from €0.04 per minute. Register on the Bleeper app to get started.
- MOBY is offering 3 rides, each of 30 minutes FREE for both new and existing users. To avail of this offer, users need to put in the promo code “MOBY25112” in the MOBY app once registered (if new).
- RedClick dublinbikes are offering up to 6 hours of rental charge-free cycling, after that rental charges will start to apply. This offer will be available on dublinbikes.ie and the RedClick dublinbikes app from Saturday afternoon 10th May.
The PedalPower Parade is open to everyone with a bike. To help keep the event safe and enjoyable for all, please follow these guidelines:
- Please note: Dublin City Council is not responsible for any injuries or incidents that may occur during the event.
- Helmet use is not mandatory but is strongly recommended.
- All participants must be able to cycle independently. This means: No balance bikes, No stabilisers, No scooters.
- Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
- Younger children are welcome as passengers on a parent or guardian’s bike (e.g. on a bike seat or trailer).
- All participants must follow the instructions of event marshals at all times.
- Photo & Video Notice: Photos and videos are being taken at this event. You might be filmed or photographed, and your image could be used in videos, social media, or other promotional materials.
