IFI Irish Film Archive Tour

Get that Friday Feeling! Get a truly behind-the-scenes perspective on the workings of the IFI Irish Film Archive and let us show you the film vaults deep beneath our Temple Bar building. We’ll talk through the incredible collections held in the IFI Irish Film Archive, show you around the climate controlled film vaults and talk through how we safeguard our collections that span from 1897 to the present day.
We preserve over 30,000 cans of film and 10,000 broadcast tapes, and our collections include newsreels, feature films, home movies, travelogues, advertisements and documentaries; as well as film collections from such internationally renowned film directors such as Jim Sheridan, Lenny Abrahamson and Alan Parker. You’ll then be treated to lunch at the IFI Café Bar located in of the most unique film houses in Dublin.
