Summer Sundays on College Green

Come and Enjoy the Traffic Free Space at College Green for the Summer Sunday’s Series, event space to increase by 50% due to the success of the first Summer Sundays on College Green
The first event in the Summer Sundays on College Green series presented by Dublin City Council was well attended with a positive reaction from all those who came to Drawing in the City in association with the Hugh Lane Gallery. The free event included 3D Pavement Illusions, Caricature Artists, Chalk Art Workshops and Sketching and Drawing classes. The first event was so well received that it was decided to increase the event area by 50% for the next event this Sunday July 28th from 12noon to 4pm titled Explore & Create.
Based on the valuable suggestions of participants and spectators, the extra space will make the pedestrianised area on College Green even easier to enjoy with more room to roam for visitors to the event. Explore and Create will be a fun and educational afternoon with a range of science and technology attractions from the past, present and future. All activities will be staged on a first come first served basis with no booking required.
The first week of August is International Clown Week and to celebrate the final event in the Summer Sundays on College Green series on Sunday August 4th will be City Carnival. The performance spaces at City Carnival will see appearances from multi-talented artistes while the side show will feature an Antique Carousel, Facepainters, Stiltwalkers, Jugglers and Mime Artists. The event will also host workshops to give everyone the chance to try out some basic circus skills.
