This holiday season, recapture the nostalgia and wonder of Christmases past at The Moving Crib, Dublin’s beloved 67-year holiday tradition. Open from November 28 to January 7 in Parnell Square West, Dublin 1, The Moving Crib offers free, family-friendly fun guaranteed to delight visitors of all ages.

For over six decades, The Moving Crib has brought the Christmas spirit to life in Dublin with its animated nativity scene. Featuring handcrafted figurines and animatronics, the scenes depict the Nativity story from the Annunciation to the arrival of the Three Kings. Historic and heartwarming, a visit to The Moving Crib is a quintessential part of Christmas in Dublin.

Lots of old-world charm and a whole lot of fun! 

Winding your way down to the basement of this lovely Georgian building, you are greeted with a montage of many historical/fun stories, including Noah’s Ark, The Wise Men and many more, its scenes, competitions, an illusion wall, and a little touch of magic are all sure to guarantee a fun visit for all the family!

7 days a week (closed Christmas Day, St Stephen’s Day & New Year’s Day. Early closing at 3pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve)

FREE ADMISSION – Voluntary donations are welcome to help with the upkeep of the Crib.
