Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert. Full orchestra conducted by David Mahoney.  Featuring composer John Williams’ complete score. 29th January 2018 – It was announced today that a screening of Star Wars: A New Hope, with Oscar®-winning composer John Williams’ musical score performed live to the film, will take place at 3Arena Dublin on 5th December 2018. The 82 piece RTÉ Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by David Mahoney. Since the release of Star Wars: A New Hope over 40 years ago, the Star Wars saga has had a seismic impact on both cinema and culture, inspiring audiences around the world with its mythic storytelling, captivating characters, groundbreaking special effects and iconic musical scores composed by Williams. Now fans will be able to experience the scope and grandeur of Star Wars: A New Hope in a live symphonic concert experience. Grace Gifford hailing from a Dublin middle-class Unionist background falls in love with leading Irish revolutionary Joseph Plunkett. Both agree to marry on Easter Sunday 1916 but a rising against British Rule in Ireland has been planned for that very day. Plunkett is vital to the revolutionaries plans as he is the military director of operations. Grace while sympathising with his cause prefers to wait until the outcome of the rising before giving her hand in marriage. In some of the most incredible scenes ever staged, the rising is defeated and Plunkett along with his comrades are sentenced to death by execution shortly afterwards in Kilmainham Gaol. Grace and Joseph plead to marry in the small chapel in the prison that very night. Their wish is granted and after exchanging wedding vows in the dark damp confines of the prison chapel, Plunkett is taken out the next morning and executed. Their tragic love story to this very day has found a place in the nation’s heart. In March, the show will be at The SSE Arena in Glasgow, followed by Newcastle and Manchester in April, Cardiff, Birmingham and Leeds in June, London in July, Belfast and Liverpool in November, and Sheffield in December 2019. Mrs. Brown’s Boys appeared first on Irish radio station RTÉ 2fm in 1992, followed by a series of books written by star O’Carroll from the mid 1990s onwards. The multiple award-winning television series Mrs. Brown’s Boys launched on the BBC in early 2011, and Mrs. Brown’s Boys D’Movie was released in 2014. In addition to the musical, their BBC One series All Round to Mrs. Brown’s will continue next year, with record-breaking viewing figures since its launch in 2017, and a third series on the way in 2019.
