njoy Ireland’s Biggest Air Festival on Saturday, July 28th and Sunday, July 29th, 2018. The event, which is renowned as one of Europe’s best air displays, was recognised as ‘Best Festival / Event Experience (large)’ at the prestigious, national Irish Tourism Industry Awards 2017. 140,000 people attended the two-day flying extravaganza in Co Wicklow last year.Visitors will be treated to gravity-defying manoeuvres, flyovers and aerobatic performances that will leave you speechless. We promise you it’s going to be an incredible show! While you wait for the activities to start in the skies over Bray there’s some great events/activities on the ground from 12 noon. They include a static display, food, craft & business village, helicopter pleasure flights, a fun fair and live music. Why not take a stroll along the magnificent Victorian prom, checking out the spectacular views from Bray Head or the Cliff Walk & visit Bray’s vibrant town centre where there is an excellent choice of places to shop, stay, dine and socialise. The two-day aviation spectacle will kick off at 12 noon each day starting with the ‘on the ground’ activity followed by the Air Display. The Air Display will kick-off at 3.30pm on Saturday and 2 pm on Sunday. This year’s line-up includes over 40 aircraft as well as parachute teams and helicopters. The calibre of the aerobatic displays at Bray is really second to none: Saturday’s display line-up is as follows: Irish Air Corps The Black Knights Make-A-Wish CAP 232 & the Flying Dentist Catalina PBY-5A Shamrock 1940 (DC-3) Gardaí helicopter ‘The Flying Cow’ Vans RV7 solo display (Gerry Humphries) Irish Historic Flight Foundation (Stearman) Irish Parachute Club Richard Goodwin Airshows (Pitts special) Strikemaster Search & Rescue Coastguard Royal Jordanian Falcons ME109 & Mustang Viggen Display Wildcat Aerobatics In addition to the above, Sunday’s display line-up will also include: The Red Arrows Aer Lingus, Shamrock 1936 The Blades Aerobatic Team Tranchant Jet Team (Fouga jets) Irish Historic Flight Foundation (Chipmunks) There will also be Helicopter Pleasure Flights on both Saturday & Sunday
