Highlights of the collection and temporary exhibitions. Free

During these discussions participants are invited to join Gallery curators and guest speakers in an exploration of the Gallery’s collection and temporary exhibitions, followed by tea or coffee with the speaker to allow for further discussion.

A Mindful Exercise in Art Observation Once a month on Saturdays at 11am, join artist Ashleigh Downey when we will look at selected works of art through guided mindful observation. During each hour long session participants will be encouraged to articulate their responses to this ‘slow looking’ verbally or may consider writing or drawing. Booking required. Fee €5 per session

Trans Live Art Salon is a collective of trans and GNC artists that aims to elevate trans voices in art and media, to work together to change narratives around trans folk and to create art together.

This study morning will explore themes arising from the exhibition Keeper by Amanda Dunsmore including the politics of memory, history, archive and the role of the artist.

Ghost-Haunted Land with Dr Declan Long. This talk will discuss post-Troubles contemporary art highlighting artists who have reflected on the ongoing anxieties of aftermath.

Julia Dubsky is a painter whose subject matter has continued to handle nuances of the medium in particular, while also grappling with broader subjects such as ‘conviction’.
